England Test captain Ben Stokes has urged for the return of several items after a home theft occurred in his house at Castle Eden in North East England. Stokes called those items "irreplaceable" and called for their return as soon as possible.
The incident happened when the all-rounder was in Pakistan for a three-match Test series against the home team. He was playing the second Test match in Multan when the masked gang of thieves broke into the house to steal some precious things.
At the time of the burglary, Stokes's wife Claire, and their two children, Layton and Libby, were also present there in the house. The allrounder confirmed that his family did not suffer any "physical harm" but it affected their mental well-being.

Ben Stokes confirms his family is physically safe
The stolen items consist of jewellery and a designer bag, which was a medal awarded to Ben Stokes for his OBE, which he received for his contributions to cricket after a brilliant 2019 summer in which he played a key role in England's first-ever ODI World Cup win.
Stokes played a vital knock in the final and was also adjudged the Player of the Match. Afterwards, he continued his magnificent run in Tests as well and played a knock for the ages against Australia in the Ashes to win a thrilling match for England.
In a statement put out on Instagram, Ben Stokes spoke about the horrific incident and confirmed the status of his family. He was thankful that his family was physically safe but admitted that it had affected their mental health.
"By far the worst thing about this crime is that it was carried out whilst my wife and 2 young children were in the house. Thankfully, none of my family came to any physical harm," Stokes stated.
"Understandably, however, the experience has had an impact on their emotional and mental state. All we can think about is how much worse this situation could have been," he added.

Ben Stokes urges public for help after theft
Stokes further shared the photographs of some of his cherished items which were stolen. He urged the people to return back his "irreplaceable" items but also claimed that he wanted to catch the thieves who did this crime.
"I am releasing photographs of some of the stolen items - which I hope may be easily identified - in the hope that we can find the people who are responsible for this," Stokes wrote.
"Although we have lost cherished possessions, to be clear, my sole motivation in sharing these photographs is not the recovery of material items. It is to catch the people who did this," the post further added.
Pakistan defeat England 2-1
Ben Stokes did not play the first Test against Pakistan as he was recovering from a hamstring injury. However, he played the final two Tests of the series, played in Multan and Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, Pakistan defeated England 2-1 to win a Test series at home after three years. It was a huge victory for the home team who were all at sea after the first Test. England won the first Test but the Men in Green came back superbly to knock their opposition down in the next two matches.
