BPL 2022 Points Table: Updated Points Table After Chattogram Challengers vs Sylhet Sunrisers Match

BPL 2022 commenced on January 21 and has witnessed few games so far. Bangladesh Premier League 2022 comprises 6 teams who will battle for the title. On Saturday, two encounters took place in BPL 2022.

In the first match, Fortune Barishal defeated Khulna Tigers by 17 runs. Batting first, Fortune Barishal slammed 141-9 on the board. Opener Chris Gayle scored most 45 runs for the team. Later, Najmul Shanto and Towhid Hridoy also contributed 19 and 23 respectively.

Kamrul Islam, Thisara Perera, Farhad Reza picked 2 wickets each while Mahedi Hasan, Sharifullah, and Seekkuge Prasanna picked 1 wicket each. In the 2nd innings, Khulna Tigers was bowled out for just 124 runs. Opener Soumya Sarkar got out for a duck while Andre Fletcher scored just 4 runs.

Later, captain Mushfiqur Rahim showed some intensity, scoring 40 runs. Yasir Ali also scored 23 runs while Thisara Parera hit 19. However, Khulna Tigers was bowled out for 124 in 19 overs and lost the match by 17 runs.

In the second encounter of BPL 2022 on Saturday, Chattogram Challengers defeated Sylhet Sunrisers by 16 runs. Batting first in the match, Chattogram Challengers posted 202-5 on the scoreboard. Opener Will Jacks slammed 52 runs off just 19 deliveries.

Later, Afif Hossain also scored 31. Later, with 31 and 41 by Sabbir Rahman and Benny Howell respectively, Chattogram managed to cross 200 runs on the scoreboard.

For Sylhet Sunrisers, opener Anamul Haque slammed a spectauclar knock of 78 runs. One-down Colin Ingram also smacked an incredible knock of 50 runs. However, the team lost 6 wickets in the 18th over and remained short of 17 runs in the end for victory. Sylhet Sunrisers managed to pile up 186-6 in 20 overs.
