Comilla Victorians are the defending champions and they snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the final against Fortune Barishal, the previous season. They had finished the group-stage round in the second position with six wins from ten matches.

Mustafizur Rahman was the leading wicket-taker with 19 wickets in 11 innings, last season, while Faf du Plessis scored 295 runs for Victorians last season. Sunil Narine, Moeen Ali, and Faf du Plessis will not be taking part in this season’s BPL but they have bagged in Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi during the draft in November.

Rangpur Riders

Rangpur Riders missed the last two seasons due to a disagreement with the league authorities over a contract agreement. Rangpur were a team in form after winning the 2017 edition, they are set to make a comeback with a strong squad.

They have signed Nurul Hasan, Hasan Mahmud who was brilliant in the World Cup. Zimbabwean star all-rounder Sikander Raza has been roped in, Haris Rauf, Shoaib Malik, Pathum Nissanka and Mohammad Nawaz are the other important player in this team.
