Chris Jordan kicks aside Virat Kohli as he names hardest Indian batter to bowl to

England speedster Chris Jordan has played several matches against India in his illustrious career and has also featured in the franchise leagues like IPL, where he bowled to many Indian batters. He picked CSK veteran and former Indian captain MS Dhoni as the toughest Indian batsman to bowl to, while ignoring the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

MS Dhoni picked as the toughest Indian opponent by Chris Jordan

Chris Jordan, the English pacer, had picked former Indian skipper MS Dhoni as the toughest Indian batter he bowled to, while he ignored the likes of greats like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Rohit Sharma was the fourth batter from India to have completed 20000 international runs after Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Virat Kohli. He also went past the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly in the list of highest scorers for India.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli, the legendary Indian batter, is just a few marks behind the second-highest run-getter spot in international cricket. He is also the second-highest centurion in world cricket.

MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain, led India to three ICC titles across all ICC tournaments during his time. He had also led them with the bat, having 17000+ runs in his career, which is astonishing for a batter who bats so low down the order.

Jordan had bowled to MS Dhoni during his playing days, both in England shirts and in the IPL as well. Having scored 49 runs off 90 balls against him, Dhoni remained unbeaten in Test cricket against Jordan. While in white ball cricket, Jordan dismissed Dhoni twice while the Indian great scored 48 runs off 38 balls.

Jordan also had some notable success against the Indian legend Virat Kohli, as he dismissed him thrice across all formats, and the Indian master also managed to score 121 runs against him off 111 balls.

Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, has been hammering Jordan for runs, especially in the shortest format of the game. Rohit, though, has three runs off 17 balls in Tests and 4 runs off 13 balls from ODIs, mastered Jordan in the shortest format, and amassed 72 runs off just 46 balls with just one dismissal.

Chris Jordan might have played just 30 career matches in the IPL, but he has played for 5 different franchises, obviously with the most number of matches in the PBKS shirts. Having started off with RCB in 2016, he played 9 matches for them under Virat Kohli's captaincy and reached the finals.

He reached another final in 2018 with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Jordan played for the Chennai Super Kings in 2022 under MS Dhoni's partial leadership and lastly featured in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians in 2023 under Rohit Sharma's captaincy.
