Conor McGregor's 'legendary' reaction to Virat Kohli's T20 World Cup triumph post breaks the internet

Virat Kohli really impressed with his batting in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final. His top knock helped Team India to set up a powerful total in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa. After his knock, he shared a post on Instagram and the former UFC and Mixed Martian Arts Champion responded to it. 

Virat Kohli arrived on the field as an opener and played a knock of 76 runs. Notably, India reached a miserable start in the match by losing 3 wickets for 34 runs within 5 overs. Notably, India lost a crucial set of batters like Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Suryakumar Yadav. 

However, Kohli kept his patience and scored 76 runs off 59 runs with 6 fours and 2 sixes. He also partnered well with Axar Patel, who slammed 47 off 31. In the end, India reached a decent total of 176 and after the victory by 7 runs, Kohli was named player of the match.

UFC Champion Conor McGregor calls Virat Kohli a legend 

Post the victory, Virat Kohli shared a heartwarming Instagram post to celebrate the victory. "Couldn’t have dreamt of a better day than this. God is great and I bow my head in gratitude. We finally did it. jai hind," he wrote on Twitter.

While many cricket experts and former cricketers replied to the post, one strange name was UFC Champion and MMA star Conor McGregor who praised Kohli. He commented, "Legendary". Have a look at the post below.

Meanwhile, it was really a legendary knock by Kohli as he helped the team to revive after the initial batting collapse, something which he also did in the previous T20I World Cup against Pakistan. Notably, India had lost 4 wickets for 30 runs in Australia during a 180+ chase and Kohli led the team to victory in a thrilling manner with his odd 80 runs. 

Kohli also won the player of the match award as he helped the team to reach a defendable total. He also announced his retirement from the T20I format and said the next generation should take the legacy forward.

Kohli struggled at the start 

Notably, Kohli highly struggled with his batting in the early stages of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He moved up the order and batted as an opener with Rohit Sharma. At one stage, he got out for 1 vs Ireland, 4 vs Pakistan, and 0 vs USA in the group stage. 

Later, he came with better shows of 24, and 37, in the Super 12 round but got out for a duck against Australia in the last match. In the semi-finals too, he got out for 9 against England. However, Kohli performed in the most important match of the tournament- ICC T20 World Cup 2024, to clinch a victory for the side.
