We Can’t Believe It When You Look Back A Few Weeks Ago – Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa, who is currently playing for the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL), mentioned the surreal feeling of winning in front of a massive crowd.

“We’ve been home for a week, still waking up most mornings, pinching myself. Yeah, we can’t believe it when you look back a few weeks ago in front of 130 thousand people. Couldn’t have written a better script in the way we played the game against India in India. I don’t know when it will sink in; it’s still a little bit raw,” Zampa was quoted as saying to the reporters on the sidelines of the BBL.

The 31-year-old spinner had a slow start in the World Cup but regained form, finishing as the second-highest wicket-taker with 23 wickets in 11 matches. The leg-spinner showcased his impact in the tournament, picking up three four-wicket hauls.

I Was Scraping To Stay In The Australian Team – Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa expressed his gratitude at being part of the team that won both the T20 and ODI World Cups, emphasizing that it holds significant meaning for him.

“I can’t believe that I am at this stage of my career where I always felt that I was scrapping to stay in the Australian team. I never thought that I’d play as much as I have for Australia. You kind of grateful to be there for a lot of it. Then you get to a stage in the last couple of years when we are sitting here, having won a T20 World Cup two years ago and now the ODI World Cup. It means a lot to me,” Zampa added.
