The men's Caribbean Premier League 2025 will take place from August 14 to September 21, as Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the CPL announced on Friday. The CPL 2025 schedule will not overlap with West Indies international matches, allowing players to participate in the tournament without national commitments.

A total of six teams - Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, St Lucia Kings, and Trinbago Knight Riders - will compete for the title in the 13th edition of the CPL. The tournament will consist of 34 matches, including 30 league-stage games and four playoffs.

Allows the Very Best Players from Across the Region to Take Part in the CPL - CPL Chief Executive

The CPL has ensured that there will be no overlap with West Indies international matches in 2025. CPL CEO Pete Russell said that they created a schedule that allows top regional players to participate. He highlighted the success of the 2024 season and optimism for continued growth in 2025.

"Once again there will be no clash with West Indies international matches," a CPL statement said.

"We are pleased to have once again worked with Cricket West Indies to find a window that allows the very best players from across the region to take part in the CPL," Pete Russell, the CPL chief executive, said. "The 2024 season was our most successful to date and we are looking forward to building on that success in 2025."

We Are Delighted to Confirm the 2025 CPL Window - CEO and COO of CWI

Lynford Inverary, acting CEO and COO of CWI was excited about confirming the 2025 CPL window. He highlighted the CPL's significance in the Caribbean cricket ecosystem. The collaboration between CWI and CPL ensures top talent is showcased without conflicting with international matches.

"We are delighted to confirm the 2025 CPL window. While CWI continues to take a leading role in shaping our overall cricket calendar, the CPL remains a key part of our cricketing ecosystem. It plays an important role in the development and promotion of the game throughout the Caribbean. Our collaboration with CPL ensures that the best talent will be on display while avoiding any conflicts with international cricket," Lynford Inverary said.

The St Lucia Kings are the defending champions of the CPL, having won last year's final against the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Specific details regarding venues, fixtures, and other specifics will be announced later. Teams will also go through a draft and pre-draft signings to finalize their squads.
