Australian all-rounder Dan Christian who played stunning innings in the fourth T20 International against Bangladesh expressed his displeasure over Dhaka’s pitch. The Men in Yellow who have a tough time in T20 internationals recently finally managed to get over the line in the 4th T20I against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has already won the series with just one game to go and it was time for Australia to experiment with things before the T20 Worldcup. They promoted Christian up the order to number three and he immediately reaped rewards for the side scoring a quickfire 39 off 15 deliveries in a low scoring game and managed to hit five sixes off the over of seasoned campaigner Shakib Al Hasan.

Dan Christian Doesn’t Find The Pitch Spectacular

Dan Christian post-Australia’s win in the fourth T20I opined that the T20 series so far has been exciting and entertaining but he wanted a lot more boundaries to come in the format. He added that the format’s main intention was to see a lot of sixes and fours hit and referred to the pitch to be not spectacular.

“They have been exciting games for sure but I don’t think that’s why T20 was invented. Twenty20 was invented for sixes and lots of runs, in terms of that it certainly hasn’t been spectacular,” said Christian after Australia’s three-wicket win.

Dan Christian Predicts A Winning Score In UAE For The T20 Worldcup

Dan Christian mentioned that even boundary can have so much impact on the game at Dhaka and wasn’t particularly pleased with the pitch. He added that 220 would be a winning score in UAE for the T20 World Cup games considering the dew factor.

“It puts so much interest on every ball of the game, each boundary, trying to save one here it’s become so important. They can have such a big effect on the game.

“Having played a little bit in the UAE, say Sharjah, we get a bit dew at night time and it’s quite a small ground so 220 can be a winning score there,” he added.
