The much-anticipated Women’s T20 World Cup is set to begin on 10th February in South Africa. This is the first time that South Africa is hosting T20 WC where we can expect competitive wickets. The T20 WC is taking place after the 2020 edition where Australia had defeated the mighty Indians in the final.
There has been a lot of hype around this tournament as once again Aussies are considered to be the favorites given their knack for finding match-winners on a given day. Indian Women’s Cricket team has been on a roll as they won the Asia Cup and have made steady progress.

Enthralling on T20 World Cup on Cards
Indian Women’s Cricket Team would be eyeing their maiden T20 WC triumph where last time in 2020, they had a dream tournament. All eyes would on skipper Harmanpreet Kaur to bat as deep as possible. The right-handed batter would be hoping that Shafali Verma’s U-19 T20 WC experience would benefit the team.
India’s first match is against their arch-rivals Pakistan where they have the wood over them. India is placed with England, West Indies, Pakistan & Ireland and would be aiming to seal the semi-final spot with ease. Before the start of the T20 WC, India played a tri Series in South Africa featuring West Indies and South Africa where they lost the final. The Women in Blue needs to quickly regroup as T20 WC would be a different ball game.
