Veteran batsman David Warner will be going under the hammer in the IPL mega auction perhaps for the one last time. One of the most decorated batsmen of this generation, the Australia great has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 2 crore.

Warner's IPL journey began way back in 2009 when he was signed up by Delhi Capitals. He represented the Delhi-based outfit from 2009 to 2013 before signing up for Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2014. David Warner played for the Hyderabad-based outfit till 2021.

At Sunrisers Hyderabad, he not only established himself as one of the best batsmen in the IPL but also one of the best captains in the tournament. Under his captaincy, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the IPL title for the first time in 2016. In that season, Warner had scored a staggering 848 runs.

He missed the 2018 season entirely after being given a year-long ban by Cricket Australia for his involvement in the infamous ball-tampering scandal. In 2022, he returned to Delhi Capitals once again and also led the franchise in IPL 2023 when Rishabh Pant was unavailable.

Overall, Warner has played 184 games in the IPL so far and has scored 6565 runs with the help of 4 centuries and 62 half-centuries. No overseas batsman has scored more runs than him in the IPL.
