Delhi Capitals (DC) were at the receiving end of a six-wicket loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday (27th April). The 46th match of the tournament between the two teams took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Tristan Stubbs (34), in the end, provided his team with momentum as he played a brilliant innings that powered Delhi Capitals (DC) to the fighting total of 162 for eight. For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up three wickets.
Delhi Capitals (DC) were top-notch with the ball at the start as they removed Jacob Bethell, Devdutt Padikkal, and Rajat Patidar inside the powerplay to leave Royal Challengers Bengaluru reeling at 26 for three. The team management promoted Krunal Pandya and the move paid off incredibly well.
Krunal Pandya (72*) and Virat Kohli (51) brought Royal Challengers Bengaluru back in the game with their 119-run partnership for the fourth wicket. In the end, Tim David (19*) finished the job as they beat the Axar Patel-led by six wickets.

The potential mark for qualification in the IPL over the last few years has been 16 points, and to reach there, Delhi Capitals need to win just two games out of their five. If they win more than two games, they will surely qualify for the final playoffs.
If they win just one game out of their five games, then they will be at 14 points. They will still have a chance to qualify, but it will all depend on the NRR and the results of other games.

Delhi Capitals will be next seen in action when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday (29th April) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After that, they will go to Hyderabad to take on SRH on 5th May. Then, they will be locking horns with Punjab Kings on 8th May in Dharamsala.
