Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Sanju Samson has been at his animated best in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against Delhi Capitals (DC). The 56th game of the tournament between the teams is taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson has done a decent job as a skipper in the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals. The keeper-batter has made brilliant bowling changes which has allowed his team to take wickets at regular intervals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Sanju Samson also consistently guided his bowlers behind the stumps as he passed on his inputs. However, at the end of the 9th over, the Rajasthan Royals skipper looked frustrated after Riyan Parag conceded six against Axar Patel pm the last ball.

Riyan Parag bowled a delivery in the slot that Axar Patel smacked over the long-on. Sanju Samson didn't seem happy with it as he was seen murmuring something in frustration. This probably was because the bowler failed to close the over on high.

Here's the video:

Coming to the match, Delhi Capitals were asked to bat first and they had a great outing with the bat. Jake Fraser-McGurk (50) and Abishek Porel (65) gave a great start to the team and put pressure on the opposition. Rajasthan Royals pulled things back incredibly well as they picked quick wickets.

However, in the end, it was Tristan Stubbs, who made sure that he ended the innings on high. The Proteas batter came out all guns blazing and took attack on the Rajasthan Royals bowlers. He played a sensational innings of 41 runs in just 20 balls as Delhi Capitals posted a total of 221 runs on the board.

For Rajasthan Royals, Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 3/24. Apart from him, Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal picked one wicket each at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

I've been working on a few things - Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin, who oozed his class with the ball, talked about his spell and stated that he has working on a few things. He admitted that Delhi Capitals have posted a par total on the board and also shared his insights about the future of T20 cricket. Speaking to broadcasters, he explained:

"You don't bowl a full toss and get a wicket in the first over you bowl! Not complaining. I've been working on a few things. Trying different angles, different releases. I would say 220 is about par. I think we'll get more and more baseballers playing T20 in the future!"

Sanju Samson-led side would be keen to chase the target and win their 9th game of the season. If they manage to win the game they will become the first team to qualify for the playoffs as they will then have 18 points under their belt.
