The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest iteration of the ICC T20I rankings which sees Dinesh Karthik and Ishan Kishan making huge advances in the batting rankings, in the aftermath of India- South Africa five-match T20I series.

Dinesh Karthik had made his comeback to the Indian team after a period of three years, having last played for Menin Blue in the 2019 World Cup. His comeback was on the back of an excellent outing in IPL 2022 for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), where he excelled as a finisher with the bat.

Karthik played a similar role for India in the South Africa T20I series and even scored his maiden half-century in the format as well. This helped Karthik make a massive leap of 108 spots to the 87th spot in the latest ICC T20I rankings.

The Jharkhand native has now moved one spot up to the 6th position in the rankings.
