'Disrespect to Virat Kohli': Gautam Gambhir slammed as Rishabh Pant gets promoted to No.4 in 2nd Test

Fans on Twitter reacted after Rishabh Pant was promoted ahead of Virat Kohli in the ongoing second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The last game of the two-match Test series between the teams is underway the Green Park in Kanpur.

India National Cricket Team have been on a mission with the bat in the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal did the carnage early on as they were all over the opposition team without even caring about the threat of a new ball.

After the carnage by the openers, it was expected that at No.4, Virat Kohli would walk out and thrive on the platform. Even when Yashasvi Jaiswal got out, there were huge cheers as everyone in the stadium expected the premier batter to walk out as he usually takes the spot.

But with India in need of quick runs, management promoted keeper-batter Rishabh Pant to the batting order as he walked out to bat at No.4. The Southpaw has been in staggering touch as in the last game, he slammed a magnificent century and announced his comeback in style.

Kohli struggled with the bat in the first Test. The right-hander scored 6 runs in the first innings, and after that, he was back in the hut for just 17 runs. This was his first Test after a while, as he missed the England series at home due to personal reasons.

Also, Kohli usually takes some time to get going, while on the other hand, Rishabh Pant can take on the bowlers right from the start. However, at No.5, Kohli walked out to bat after Shubman Gill was back in the hut after scoring 39 runs.
