Don't Think Many Could Argue Against Jimmy And I Being The Best Bowling Attack In England: Stuart Broad

England paceman Stuart Broad has been the fulcrum of the national team for more than a decade now. The new-ball bowling pair of Stuart Broad and James Anderson has been one of the significant reasons for England’s home dominance even as their batting line-up has shown signs of disintegrating. The right-arm seamer has little doubts he and Anderson are the best bowlers in England.
After an underwhelming winter of cricket for Stuart Broad, he will be eyeing a dominating performance in the home season. England’s home summer starts with two Tests against New Zealand, followed by white-ball visits from Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Broad, who plays only red-ball cricket, would be preparing for the high-voltage five-match Test series against India in August. He took 16 wickets in five Tests in the 2018 rubber against Virat Kohli’s men.
Stuart Broad underlined that he aims to make himself available and ready for every Test match and asserts he is in good rhythm, helping Nottinghamshire win games. The 34-year old thinks that not many stand a chance against him and Anderson being the best bowling attack in England as they have all the experience to exploit the conditions in the best way possible.
“I pride myself on being available and ready. I’m bowling well, taking wickets for Nottinghamshire and helping win games. I don’t think many could argue against Jimmy and I being in the best bowling attack in England, but if you need to get experience and overs into bowlers, that is what it is,” Broad told ESPN Cricinfo.
Stuart Broad recalls being left out of the opening Test last summer:
Stuart Broad highlighted feeling dejected when he could not find himself in the first Test of the home summer as he performed well in the Ashes and South Africa. Broad thought that having proved his fitness, he believed he deserved a place in the team. The veteran seamer was agitated to hear otherwise.
“Last year I was disgruntled because the selectors had said the first team of the summer would be our best team. For someone who had been through the Ashes successfully, been through South Africa successfully and stayed fit, I felt it was my shirt. I felt I was in the best team. So to be told I suddenly wasn’t in the best team with my record in England, that’s what upset me,” he added.
