The First Class domestic season in Indian cricket is all set to commence with the forthcoming Duleep Trophy 2024.

The tournament begins on September 5 and a total of four teams will wrestle for the title this time.

Team A, Team B, Team C, and Team D are the four teams. Interestingly, these teams have been named like this this time. In the last season, they were divided according to Zones- South Zone, West Zone, North Zone etc.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is the skipper of the Team C in Duleep Trophy 2024. The right-handed batsman is a dominant player in the domestic circuit and has also played a few international games for Team India. However, he has been in and out of the national team so far.

Team C will commence their journey with the encounter against Team D on September 5.

It is the 2nd game of the tournament and takes place at ACA ADCA Ground in Anantapur. The four-day match will start at 4 PM IST.

Later, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side will face Team C in their 4th match of the tournament, set to commence on September 12 at the same stadium.

Later, Team C will play their final game of the first round against Shubman Gill-led Team A.

The venue of the last game is Rural Development Trust Stadium. This is the schedule for the first phase of the Duleep Trophy and the top teams in the points table will face each other in the final later in the second phase.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Team C SWOT Analysis

If we carefully analyze the Team C squad, they have some powerful top and middle-order batsmen in the form of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suryakumar Yadav, Sai Sudharsan, and Rajat Patidar. All these four players have played for Team India in at least one format in 2024.

Also, all these players showed a wonderful form in IPL 2024 for their respective IPL teams. Hrithik Shokeen is the only all-rounder in Team C and he lacks experience. Hence, Team C lacks depth in the all-rounder department.

Also, they do not have experienced wicketkeeper-batsman with the likes of Abishek Porel, Baba Indrajith, and Aryan Juyal. In the bowling department, Umran Malik and Sandeep Warrier are the only players with international experience. However, they have only played a handful of games for India and are not regular ones.

Also, Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side lacks a well-known spinner. Hence, we can conclude that Team C does not have massive strength in the bowling department but they have a strong batting unit.
