Mitchell Johnson is in the news for the wrong reasons currently. He took a subtle dig at David Warner previously who is going to play his last Test series for Australia in the upcoming Test series against Pakistan.
Recently he has targeted Virat Kohli with one of his comments on Twitter. Johnson and Kohli have had great on-field battles in the past. Both have come face to face across formats for their respective countries. While Kohli has had an upper hand with the bat against Johnson, the latter has dismissed him four times in international cricket, thrice in Test matches.
Mitchell Johnson in his recent interaction on Twitter was asked to choose the better player between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. He denied responding to it initially saying that both are great players.
Mitchell Johnson’s Comments On Virat Kohli Goes Viral

“does it actually matter? Both are great players in their own rights” said Johnson at first.
He was perhaps instigated by one of the comments by a random Twitter user that read ” Bro you are Virat’s favorite bowler”.

It was then that Mitchell Johnson replied to his comment and took a dig at Kohli in the process. “he was my easiest to get out” wrote Johnson in his response.
Talking Virat Kohli, he scored 765 runs in the recently concluded World Cup that Australia won. He overtook Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most runs (673 in 2003 WC) in a single World Cup edition. Kohli now holds the record for most runs in a single edition of the World Cup. He was also named the Player of the Series.
India, unfortunately, lost the World Cup final to Australia with Travis Head scoring a match-winning century. The Aussies won their sixth World Cup title as India’s wait to end their ICC trophy drought continued. Kohli is currently on a break from international cricket and will return for India’s Test series against South Africa.
