Ellyse Perry leads Australia's unbeaten run at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026
Ellyse Perry has once again shown why she is one of Australia's biggest match-winners. The experienced all-rounder has scored 185 runs in the tournament at an average of 46.25. Perry has also taken four wickets at an excellent bowling average of 7.50 in the tournament.
Perry has been the main reason behind Australia's unbeaten journey to the final. She has already won the Player of the Match award three times during the tournament. She played a key role in Australia beating Bangladesh in Leeds by taking two key wickets and scoring an unbeaten 19 runs.
After the nine-wicket win over Bangladesh Women, Perry scored back-to-back half-centuries against Pakistan and India. For these match-winning performances, she won three POTM awards.
Smriti Mandhana shines despite India's heartbreaking exit
India’s vice-captain and star opening batter Smriti Mandhana had a strong time with the bat in the tournament. She was one of India's most consistent batters, finishing with 205 runs at an average of 41.
The left-hander started the World Cup in brilliant style by scoring back-to-back fifties against Pakistan and the Netherlands, helping India win both matches comfortably.
In India's last group-stage match against Australia, she played another important knock of 38 runs. However, India failed to beat the Australian side and missed out on a place in the semi-finals.
Danni Wyatt-Hodge leads the run-scoring charts
England opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge has been the most dangerous batter of the tournament and the leading run scorer. She has scored 294 runs at an outstanding average of 73.50 and a strike rate of 152.33. She began the tournament with a superb century against Sri Lanka in Birmingham.
After that, Danni continued her excellent form by scoring two more half-centuries. Her aggressive batting at the top has played a big role in taking England to the final as an unbeaten side.
Marizanne Kapp's stunning World Cup campaign
South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp has once again proved her value with both bat and ball. She has scored 124 runs at an average of 31 and picked up eight wickets at an average of 14.37.
Kapp delivered an outstanding performance against India by taking two wickets and then played a remarkable knock of an unbeaten 81 to guide South Africa to a memorable six-wicket win. Her all-around performances were the biggest reasons behind South Africa's run to the knockout stage.
