ENG vs AUS: Watch - Cameron Green Launches His Bat In Air As He Attempts A Pull

Cameron Green, who has got an opportunity in the XI, after a while in the ICC World Cup 2023 is making a mark for his side. The 36th game of the tournament is currently taking place between England and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

Australia after being put in to bat first have lost wickets at regular intervals. They were reeling at 117/4 and it was then when Cameron Green took the crease. The all-rounder looked settled and played good shots as well. He’s making sure that he takes his team to the big total. 

However, a hilarious incident was also on the cards. It happened during the 31st over when Cameron Green lost control of his bat and it flew in the air along with the ball. England pacer Mark Wood bowled a short ball that climbed on the batter. 

Cameron Green’s bat launched in the air as it slipped out of the hands of the batter. He was lucky enough that the ball didn’t go straight to the fielder. The man at point, from cover, and the bowler went for it and none got there.

Earlier, Australia lost the toss and were asked to bat first. Travis Head (11) and David Warner (15) lost their wickets early. Steve Smith (44) and Marnus Labuschagne (71) played well but couldn’t convert the starts they got. The onus will be on Cameron Green and Marcus Stoinis to take the team to a big total. 

ENG vs AUS: Cameron Green and Marcus Stoinis replace injured Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh in the team 

Australia were forced to make two changes to their team for the ongoing clash against England. Glenn Maxwell suffered a concussion ahead of the game as he fell off the cart. Whereas Mitchell Marsh flew back home due to personal reasons. 

In their place, Cameron Green and Marcus Stoinis were back in the team. It’ll be a great opportunity for Green to stake his claim back in the team. He was under the firing line after a series of low scores under his belt. The batter is on the verge of hitting a half-century and would be looking to power his team to a big total.
