India and England will be locking horns against each other in a five-match test series starting from August 4 and all eyes will be on the Indian stars players. India hasn’t won a Test series in England for nearly 13 years and this will be the perfect opportunity to settle things up.
India is coming off a defeat in the World Test Championship finals to New Zealand and they have had enough time in England to assess the conditions now. The visitors have also played a warm-up game against County-selected XI and here are 5 Indian players who can win the man of the series award.
5 Indian Players Who Can Win The Man Of The Series Award:
Rohit Sharma:

Rohit Sharma has played just two innings in England as a test opener so far but has shown really good signs and he made two thirties in the World Test Championship finals when the whole team found it difficult. The right-hander has been in phenomenal form in any format he has been playing and will look to continue his dominance.
Rohit finished as the second-highest run-scorer for India in the World Test Championship 2021 and his numbers have been remarkable in the tournament ever since he has moved to the top of the order. He will certainly be one of the contenders to win the man of the series award.
Rishabh Pant:

Rishabh Pant will be the X factor player for India as usual and he can create a huge impact on how the series is going to turn out. Pant was part of the squad when India toured England in 2018 and he hit a fantastic century in the final test showcasing his skills with the bat.
Pant is very vital to India’s plans as he brings the left-hander option into the mix as well as he is in the form of his life in all the formats. He had a terrific home series against the same opponents and managed to hit James Anderson behind the wicketkeeper’s head. He will be one of the players to watch out for in the test series against England.
Mohammad Shami:

Mohammad Shami looked the most threatening out of the bowlers from India in the World Test Championship finals against New Zealand and he has the ability to get the seam movement from by hitting the deck hard with a good pace. His seam position is wonderful to watch and is one of the best in the business.
Shami has enough experience playing in England and he will know that he needs to step up for the Indian team if they have to take 20 wickets. He is almost a certainty in the playing XI and he’s unstoppable when he starts finding his rhythm.
Virat Kohli:

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen going around in world cricket at the moment and he will be the most important man for India with his ability to play the long innings. Kohli had an amazing series last time around in England in 2018 as a redemption to the poor series he had in 2014.
He has the experience of facing James Anderson and Stuart Broad, and he will definitely be up for the challenge. He has also gone through a century drought in international cricket for nearly 2 years and he is too good a player to delay his centuries. He will be the top contender for the man of the series award from India.
KL Rahul:

KL Rahul hasn’t played a Test for India since the 2019 West Indies test series but his good form in limited-overs cricket got him back into the test side and is likely to feature in the playing XI after two or three games. Rahul played in England in the 2018 test series and he managed to play an exciting inning of 149 in the final test.
He is coming off a well-made century in the warm-up game against County-selected XI and has looked in terrific touch to be included in the playing XI any time. He will be looking to make it big if he does get a chance, and he will be eyeing the man of the series award too.
