Antigua hosts England for their last two games of the T20 World Cup 2024. They first take on Oman on June 14, Friday from 8.30 pm local time. The final two games are must-win for England if they are willing to qualify for the Super 8s.

The road to England seems tough from here on. Not only they would need to win big they also need a major favor from Australia after Josh Hazlewood's recent comments.

Hazlewood after Australia defeated Namibia said that Australia might consider losing to Scotland to knock England out of the tournament. The NRR of the defending champions is poor compared to the other two teams.

England headed into this tournament after beating Pakitan in a T20I series. However, the washout game against Scotland was a major blip as they managed to find just one point in the game. The 36-run loss to Australia damaged their NRR.

Oman, on the other hand, is eliminated from the tournament. Namibia too have joined them after the loss to Australia. Australia, England, and Scotland are the three teams alive in Group B.

They would take this tournament as a learning curve to better themselves in the future. They still have an opportunity for a major upset if they can beat England in their last Group game.
