In the India vs Zimbabwe second T20I match at Harare Sports Club, Harare, both India and Zimbabwe cricketers were wearing black armbands in honour of the passing of the former Zimbabwe Cricket Board Vice Chairman, Mr. Sylvester Matshaka. He passed away on Friday (July 24) in Harare following a short illness.
Sylvester Matshaka was 76-years as he passed away on Friday. This is a massive honour from both teams, as the former Vice Chairman passed away at West End Clinic in Harare. Mr Matshaka joined the ZC Board in 2006 and served as Vice Chairman until 2015, devoting two decades to the game's governance and growth during one of the organization's most iconic eras in history.

ZC Chairman Mr Tavengwa Mukuhlani stated that Zimbabwe Cricket lost a distinguished person who has given so much to Zimbabwe Cricket and also a dear friend of his, and the former served with integrity and selfless devotion to the cricket board.
“Today, Zimbabwe Cricket has lost not only a distinguished Vice Chairman, but also a wise counsellor, a principled leader and a dear friend whose service to the game was defined by humility, integrity and selfless devotion,” he said.

Mr Tavengwa Mukuhlani spoke on behalf of players and support staff and the entire cricketing world as well. He also extended his heartfelt message to the family of the former Vice Chairman.
“On behalf of the Zimbabwe Cricket Board, management, staff, players and the entire cricket fraternity, I extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr Matshaka’s family and loved ones as we mourn a man who gave so much of himself to Zimbabwe Cricket and to our country.”
“Mr Matshaka was a steady hand during some of the most defining moments in our history and his wisdom, sound judgement and quiet strength helped shape the organisation we are today, while his passion for growing the game touched countless lives across Zimbabwe.”

India makes one change after 1st T20I win
Coming to the match, India made one change brining in Yash Thakur, who made his T20I debut as the previous match debutant, Ashok Sharma, was dropped. Zimbabwe did not make any changes from their lost from the 1st T20I match.
Sikandar Raza won the toss and elected to bowl first in the match. Both captains got what they wanted in the match. After being asked to bat first, India are currently at a good stage with 111/3, with Ishan Kishan scoring a fifty in 31 balls.
