From Anushka Sharma to Ritika Sajdeh- How Wives and Girlfriends (WAGs) of Indian cricketers reacted to T20 World Cup win?

Wives and Girlfriends of Indian cricketers congratulated their partners for winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados yesterday. 

Rohit Sharma's Indian team defeated Aiden Markram's South Africa in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final by 7 runs to become 2-time winners. India are now the joint most T20 WC winner along with England and the West Indies, who also have 2 titles each. Rohit has now become only the second and first captain after MS Dhoni to win the shortest format's biggest prize.

Jay Shah's promise to hoist the Indian flag on Barbados was fulfilled yesterday, thanks to the magnificent effort put up by all the departments. Virat Kohli was the one who initiated India's victory over South Africa as he scored a very good 70+ runs to help India post up to 170 as the target. 

In the 2nd innings at the Kensington Oval, South Africa, who were playing their first World Cup final, got off to a fiery start after losing early wickets. Quinton de Kock and Tristan Stubbs were desolating the Indian bowling attack and had a solid plan against the spin battery. 

Axar Patel was the one to get the breakthrough of Stubbs before Hardik Pandya claimed the wicket of the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen. The right-hand batter was taking the game away from India's reach but Pandya came up with one of the match-winning moments.

Then Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh picked up a few wickets more while Pandya, who bowled the 20th over picked the wicket of David Miller. Suryakumar Yadav also had a decisive role in the game as he was the one to complete the sensational catch of Miller, who was South Africa's final hope. 

With that, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli both announced retirements from the shortest format of the game on the highest note a player could ever imagine. Following India's win in the final here are the reactions from the Wives and Girlfriends of Indian cricketers.
