India were invited to bat first in the match and they posted a gigantic total of 471 on the board as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant slammed brilliant centuries.
The visiting team got a small lead after bundling out England for 465 in their first innings, and the Indian batters once again displayed an excellent performance in their second innings.
KL Rahul emerged as the top performer for India in the second innings, with 137 runs under his belt, while Rishabh Pant was the second-best performer as he scored 118 runs.
In the second innings, Rishabh Pant faced 26 balls in the 90s before finally reaching the three-figure mark, which was the most number of balls he had stayed in the 90s in his Test career.

India score five Test tons in a match for the first time in history as Rishabh Pant shines
India slammed five centuries in the Leeds Test against England - Yashasvi Jaiswal (101), Shubman Gill (147), Rishabh Pant (134), KL Rahul (137), and Rishabh Pant (118). It was the first time in Test history that India had scored five centuries in a match, and overall it was the sixth such instance by any side in history. India also became the second side to achieve this feat in an away Test after Australia against the West Indies in Kingston in 1955.
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant became the first Indian cricketer to register 5 consecutive 50-plus scores in England and the second wicketkeeper-batsman to hit twin tons in a Test match after Andy Flower.
He also became only the fifth Asian batter to score two tons in a SENA Test after Virat Kohli (Adelaide, 2014), Rahul Dravid (Hamilton, 1999), Asanka Gurusinha (Hamilton, 1991), and Vijay Hazare (Adelaide, 1948). Notably, he became the first Indian batter to achieve the feat in England.
