Gautam Gambhir, the left-handed batter was a part of Lucknow Super Giants as a Mentor. Now the batter has been appointed as the Global Mentor of Super Giants. The 2011 World Cup Winner now has got a bigger role as we all know that Cricket has started to become league based.
Super Giants would be hoping that Gambhir continues his good work. Throughout the IPL 2022, the batter played an invaluable role in the coaching setup and it didn’t look like it was his first stint. Gambhir won 2 titles for KKR in 2012 & 2014 and it won’t be wrong to say that the batter changed the dynamics of KKR.

Gautam Gambhir On Getting a Role
Gambhir made a statement of looking forward to the role. “In my ideology of team sport designations don’t play much role. At best they are there to facilitate to process to make a team win. As a Global Mentor of Super Giants I look forward to some added responsibility. My intensity and passion to win have just got International wings. It will be a proud moment to see the Super Giants family leave a global imprint. I thank Super Giants Family for showing that faith in me. Guess it’s time for more sleepless nights.” said Gambhir.

Franchise Cricket on Rise
Gambhir won’t have expected this role as it was only one season where he was a part of LSG. It won’t be wrong to say that Gambhir will have more authority than ever. He is strict but at the same time, he also backs the players to come good which is priceless in this era.

ICC’s decision to grant CSA20 & UAE League has meant that there is more entertainment. In the South Africa League, all the franchises are owned by IPL owners. We may see a lot of players skipping International Duty due to these leagues. It would be interesting to see how a Cricket Board Copes with this.
