Goa Tourism Department Issues Notice To Yuvraj Singh Over His Villa In Morjim

Former Dashing all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been issued a notice by Goa Tourism Department. The Cricketer has been accused of allegedly putting up his villa at Morjim for homestay online without registering which is considered to be a legal offense. The Cricketer has been called up for a hearing on December 8 at 11 AM.
The Villa ‘Casa Singh’ which is located at Morjim in North Goa. The all-rounder could be landed in some trouble as according to the notice there is no registration done under the Tourist Trade Act of 1982. It would be interesting to see how things unfold for the star cricketer. The 2011 World Cup Champion would be bothered because this notice and case can tarnish his image and we all know these proceedings take time.
Notice Issued to Yuvraj Singh
Goa tourism issued a notice to Yuvraj Singh. “It has come to the notice of the undersigned that your residential premises located at Varchewada, Morjim, Pernem, Goa is allegedly functioning as a homestay and is being marked on online platforms like Airbnb.” the notice said.
“Every person intending to operate a Hotel/Guest House before operating it, has to apply for registration to the Prescribed Authority in the Prescribed manner.”Therefore, a notice is hereby given to you as to why penal action should not be initiated against you for default in registration under the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 1982.” it added.

The Cricketer had tweeted about his villa way back in 2021. “This is where I spent time with my loved ones and the home is filled with memories of my years on the pitch.” he said.

Deputy Director of Tourism Rajesh Kale addressed to Yuvraj Singh. “it will be assumed that the grounds mentioned in the notice are correct and on such assumption under Section 22 or in violation of any of the provisions of the Act, you shall be punishable with a fine which may extend up to Rs one lakh.” he said.
