GT Full Squad, Team List, Players List After IPL 2024 Auction

Gujarat Titans (GT), the finalists of IPL 2023 headed into the auction with 38.15 crores left in the bank, the most among all the franchises. They needed 8 players to complete their squad two of whom were overseas players.

Gujarat Titans gave everyone the shock of the season when they traded Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians. MI in turn named him the skipper for the IPL 2024 season. The Titans now will be led by Shuibman Gill who is just 23 years old and has no prior captaincy experience at any level.

How GT performs under him will be an interesting observation. He will need experienced players to help him with captaincy inputs as well. The likes of David Miler, Matthew Wade, and Rashid Khan have led their country in the past and will need to be his ally.

The side is pretty secured despite the release of Hardik Pandya. He led the team to the knockouts twice in the last two seasons and played the final twice. While he won the title in 2022, The Titans lost to CSK in 2023.

The Titans have their playing XI well sorted. The core of the side was very well retained. Like any other franchise, Gujarat Titans also eyed the reputed international cricketers and got to bag a few.

One player who will have a big role will be Kane Williamson after Hardik Pandya’s exit. He missed out on playing IPL 2023 with a knee injury but will need to be close to Shubman Gill and help him with his decision-making. He might even be named as the vice-captain of the franchise.

They will also need their lesser-known players to rise up to the challenge and make the most of the given opportunities. The likes of Vijay Shankar and Rahul Tewatia if they have a good season can return to contention for the T20 World Cup next year.
