Rashid Khan discusses the importance of test cricket and his dedication to the game he has played for a long time.
Rashid has only played five Tests since Afghanistan’s introduction to Test cricket in 2018, and he has 34 wickets to his name.
The oldest type of cricket practiced at an international level is test cricket. A Test match is a five-day contest played by teams representing full members of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Afghanistan became the 12th test nation in 2018 when they played their maiden match. They’ve played five test matches since then, with two victories and three losses.
Rashid Khan says that he enjoys playing Test cricket:
Rashid has only played five Tests since Afghanistan’s introduction to Test cricket in 2018, and he has 34 wickets to his name.
Will Rashid be content, say, if he quits as the “world’s greatest ever T20 bowler” after 15 years because Afghanistan doesn’t play many Tests?
“Fifteen years is a significant amount of time. You have no idea where or how you will wind up.”
Life is so unpredictably unpredictable that you never know what will happen next.
“I’ve never set such lofty ambitions for myself, even in the next three to five years.” “I constantly know that I have to perform on any given day,” he stated.
In terms of Afghanistan’s dearth of Test match experience, Rashid expects that things will change in another five years.
“It’s unfortunate that we don’t get to play as many longer format games as I would want. That is something I hope will change in the next five years. “So that I may play at least five to ten Test matches for Afghanistan each year,” he concluded.
With 436 wickets in 312 games, the Afghan spinner is the most desirable T20 specialist on the global league circuit at the age of 23.
