GT vs LSG: LSG's Jaydev Unadkat Ruled Out Of IPL 2023 Due To Shoulder Injury

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) confirms that left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The pacer suffered a should injury and was deemed unfit by the medical staff to take part in the further tournament.

Ahead of the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday (1st May) Jaydev Unadkat while bowling in the nets fell on the ground in his followthrough. His foot got stuck in the rope of the nets and he fell on his shoulder.

Jaydev Unadkat was then seen wearing the sling. Although it was learned that he didn’t dislocate his shoulder, he has a sore shoulder and has been advised to rest by the medical team. The pacer is part of India’s squad for the upcoming World Test Championship Final (WTC) and therefore it is assumed that BCCI is against of taking a risk and playing him in the league.

Taking to their official Twitter account, LSG confirmed about his unavailability for the rest of the season and revealed that they will support him in his recovery process. The statement added:

“Jaydev Unadkat will miss the rest of the IPL season due to injury. We’re fully supporting him during his recovery so he can come back on the field as soon as possible.”

Jaydev Undakat played just 3 games in the IPL 2023. He failed to take a single wicket in the three games and had a slightly higher economy rate of 11.50.

GT vs LSG: Lucknow Super Giants to play Gujarat Titans next

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are having a decent campaign in the ongoing IPL 2023. They are currently placed second on the points table with 5 wins and 4 losses from their 10 games. They have 11 points so far and with the way they are going, they can easily book their berth in playoffs.

LSG is now slated to lock horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in their next game. The table toppers will lock horns on Sunday (7th May) at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad.
