Gujarat Titans Players List, Squad, Schedule, Match List for IPL 2024

Gujarat Titans (GT) will observe a new journey in IPL 2024 as they will be led by their new skipper Shubman Gill. The franchise was led by Hardik Pandya for the last two seasons. However, the Indian all-rounder has left the squad and joined Mumbai Indians for IPL 2024.

Gujarat Titans delivered an impressive show last season. The franchise finished in the top spot in the points table after the league stage. Out of 14 games, GT won 10 matches and lost only 4. The Hardik Pandya & Co. earned 20 points to qualify for playoffs.

However, the franchise could not overcome the charisma of Chennai Super Kings in the final. MS Dhoni-led side stunned them in Qualifier 1 and final to steal the trophy for 5th time. However, the final was a close-fought encounter and GT dominated other teams during the group stage.

Shubman Gill was the most successful batter for GT last season. The right-handed batsman shattered 890 runs to finish as the highest run-getter for the team as well as the season. With 3 tons and 4 fifties, Gill won the orange cap.

Veteran wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha was another player who grabbed a lot of limelight with the bat. He slammed 371 runs in 17 games. Sai Sudharsan, who played just 8 games for the team, mustered 362 runs at 51+ average.

Among bowlers, Mohammed Shami hunted the most 28 wickets for the team across 17 matches. The right-arm pacer also won the purple cap for stealing the most wickets in the tournament. Mohit Sharma hunted 27 scalps in 14 games. Rashid Khan also clinched 27 scalps to deliver a brilliant spin attack.

For Gujarat Titans, trading Hardik Pandya was their biggest blow for the IPL 2024 auction. Pandya moved back to his previous franchise Mumbai Indians for an all-cash deal. As a result, GT renamed Shubman Gill as the new skipper of the side.

GT also parted ways with 8 players ahead of next season. Alzarri Joseph, Dasun Shanaka, K.S. Bharat, and Odean Smith were some of the key names that GT released from the side. Gujarat Titans bought 8 players during the IPL auction in 2024.

Their most expensive player was Spencer Johnson for Rs. 10 crore. GT also bought all-rounder Shahrukh Khan for Rs. 7.40 crore. Pacer Umesh Yadav was picked for Rs. 5.80 crore. Other players that DC bought during the IPL 2024 auction are Robin Minz, Sushant Mishra, Kartik Tyagi, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Manav Suthar.

Gujarat Titans joined the Indian Premier League in the 2022 season. They won the tournament in their first edition itself by crushing Rajasthan Royals in the final. They also ended up as runners-up in the last season.

Hence, Gujarat Titans have emerged as a dominating team in both seasons so far. However, it will be interesting to witness how the team performs under the guidance of new skipper Shubman Gill.

Gujarat Titans (GT) Full Schedule For IPL 2024

The schedule for IPL 2024 has not been released by BCCI till now. According to reports, IPL 2024 is expected to commence in the third or fourth week of March 2024. BCCI might announce the schedule next month or the first week of March.
