Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their final league game in Hyderabad on May 16, Sunday. The Titans were eliminated after their match against KKR was rained out in Ahmedabad on Monday.

GT won against Chennai Super Kings at home and then lost to KKR at home again ahead of this game. The side has played some inconsistent cricket throughout the season.

Gujarat Titans, the finalists of the last two seasons and facing elimination heading into this game against SRH. Even a win might not be enough for them to make it to the playoffs. They need several other results to go their way.

Not getting rus from their opening combination affected their style of play, so they decided to open with Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, which yielded results.

Qualifying for the playoffs for them seems difficult for the side from here on. They will end with 12 points if they win this game but their negative NRR does not help their cause.

Shubman Gill (C)

Gill will open the batting for GT. He scored a splendid century against CSK which helped them win the game. It was a crucial game that they won. He will be under pressure heading into this game as captain.

Sai Sudharsan

The southpaw will open the batting with Gill. The young duo forged a great partnership against Chennai Super Kings. The southpaw has scored over 500 runs this season and has been consistent for GT.

David Miller

Miller might well slot in at three. With GT needing a big win to recover their negative NRR, his big hits might help the cause. He is inching closer to 3000 IPL runs and has scored just over 200 runs this season.

Shahrukh Khan

Another hard-hitter Shahrukh Khan will slot in at four. GT has made some serious changes to their batting lineup in the last few games looking to get in some power in the batting order.

Matthew Wade (WK)

Wade can slot in at five. His inclusion in the playing XI has helped GT forge the partnership between Gill and Sai Sudharsan up at the top. The southpaw will look to make some contribution with the bat as well.

Rahul Tewatia

The all-rounder can slot in at six. He has played a few important cameos with the bat for his side. Overall, he has played 93 matches scored 1111 runs, and picked up 32 wickets in the IPL. He has scored 492 runs for GT.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan will slot in at seven. He won a few games for GT with the bat but has been well below par with the ball. GT needs a big spell from him if they are to stop the SRH big-hitters.

 Noor Ahmad

Noor will be the other wrist spinner for GT. He and Rashid have been the key pair for GT with spin. He took 16 wickets last season and has taken 8 so far this season

Umesh Yadav

The former KKR pacer joined GT ahead of this season. He will be one of the two Indian pacers in the XI. The veteran pacer has played 8 wickets in seven games and is just six short of 150 IPL wickets.

Mohit Sharma

Mohit Sharma will be the other pacer in the playing XI. He picked up 27 wickets last season and has picked up just 13 so far this season. He has bowled at an economy of over 10.

Kartik Tyagi

Tyagi was called into the playing XI in the match against CSK and he played the match against KKR as well. He will conclude the likely XI for the Gujarat Titans.

Impact Sub: Sandeep Warrier

Sandeep Warrier is likely to be the impact sub for Gujarat Titans. He has been used in that role by the franchise. He has picked up six wickets in five games so far this season.
