Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is currently in full form when it comes to showing the mirror to Pakistan. He has been ruling the headlines for the past few days over his statement on the BCCI’s stance not to send Team India to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The 2011 World Cup winner has recently backed the BCCI's position regarding the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2024, emphasizing that security issues in Pakistan remain a significant concern. He supported the BCCI’s decision not to send the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the tournament, highlighting that player safety should be the highest priority.

Why should the Indian team go to Pakistan? Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh was quoted as saying by IANS: “Why should the Indian team go to Pakistan? The security issue there is significant. The situation in Pakistan is such that incidents occur almost every day. I don't think it's safe to go there. The stance of the BCCI is absolutely correct, and nothing is more important than the safety of our players.”

The former Indian spinner’s comments sparked criticism from Pakistani journalists and former cricketers, as they have been trolling the Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha in the most ridiculous and shameless way across social media platforms.

Having taken notice of excessive trolling, Harbhajan gave a befitting response to his Pakistani trollers and Pakistani media by digging back up old wounds on social media. Actually, Pakistani journalist Farid Khan mocked Harbhajan by sharing a scorecard showing the former Indian spinner being hit for four sixes by Shahid Afridi during India's 2006 tour to Pakistan.

Harbhajan Singh slams Pakistani trolls, uses 2009 terror attack as proof of ongoing security issues

The Pakistani journalist used this to taunt Harbhajan about his security concerns as an excuse not to send the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Later, he got the best of his own medicine in front of the whole world, as Harbhajan launched a scathing attack on the journalist.

Harbhajan retweeted the post and included a screenshot from a 2009 newspaper reporting on the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team’s bus in Pakistan. The Indian legend used this reference to highlight the ongoing security issues in the country, and that’s why BCCI is against sending the team to Pakistan for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

Sharing the screenshot, which re-exposes the past shameless deeds of Pakistan, Harbhajan Singh wrote in the caption: “No not for this. Cricket Mai Jeet har lagi rehti hai. I will tell u the real problem is this . Check the photo ⬇️ . Now get the F…. out of here . F ka Matlab samaj aa gya hoga ya samjau? F means ur name . Plz don’t think what u r thinking th meaning of F. You know what I mean ✌️Peace”

Here's Harbhajan Singh's blistering post:

Notably, Pakistani terrorists attacked a bus carrying Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore back in 2009. Concerns about safety in Pakistan have been longstanding for the touring teams. New Zealand abandoned their Test series in Pakistan following a suicide bombing near their hotel in May 2002, and even Australia canceled a tour planned for October 2002 due to safety concerns.
