Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria lashed out at the old skipper of his team Inzamam-ul-Haq for accusing India of ball tampering in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. He said that he didn't like the ex-PCB selector's comments as he has played a lot of cricket in West Indies as well.

India National Cricket Team has been sensational in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The Rohit Sharma-led side was again dominant in the league as they stage as they won all their games and also produced a stellar performance in the semi-final to make it into the final undefeated.

India team has produced a sensational performance with both and ball in the ongoing T20 World as they have stepped up in tough circumstances and have managed to soak the pressure well. They sealed their place in the semi-finals after they defeated Australia in their last league game.

However, after they won the game, former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq hogged the headlines. He accused Team India of ball tampering and claimed that it was one of the main reasons why Arshdeep Singh was reverse swinging the ball during the death overs which troubled Australia's batters.

After that skipper Rohit Sharma also talked about the same and rubbished off the allegations, saying that Inzamam-ul-Haq should think about conditions before making comments. He pointed out how balls tend to reverse during the day games.

Amid all the fuss, Danish Kaneria has lashed out at Inzamam-ul-Haq for his comments, saying that the ball automatically gets dry on practice pitches. He stated that with the former Pakistan captain being a big name, it doesn't suit him to make such comments. Speaking to Times Now, he explained:

"I think my captain played a lot of cricket and he played a lot of cricket in the West Indies. West Indies has a dry wicket and when we throw the ball in the field, because there are 2-3 wickets and it is dry and rough, so when one bounce comes, the ball automatically starts getting rough. So when we used to play there, the ball would automatically become rough for the fast bowler.

"But for such a big player, I don't think it is right to say that he tampered with the ball. I don't like it. I think whatever he did, everyone was clear about it. Rohit also said to the press conference, look at the conditions, where are you playing? It is so hot. It is humid. It is humid and the ball will get a little scuffed."

Most of the morning matches were played by India-Danish Kaneria

Danish Kaneria further mentioned how the ball tends to reverse swing during the daytime. He highlighted that other teams are not able to do that because they are playing games at night. He elaborated:

"When you hit the ball on the wicket, the ball gets scuffed. When the ball gets scuffed, if you shine it from one side, it will automatically get reversed. It happens to all bowlers, not just one. In the other team as well, most of the morning matches were played by India.

"Most of the morning matches were played by India. The rest of the teams played at night. So it is very difficult to bowl at night. Because it is a little loose. But in the afternoon, it is so humid that the ball gets scuffed," he concluded.
