"He Watched Me a Couple Of Times And Said To Me..."- David Warner On Virender Sehwag's Impact On His Career

David Warner, the left-handed batter may have started his career as a T20 basher but he has made a name for himself in Test Arena. The batter currently is in talks with Cricket Australia (CA) for removing his ban on captaincy because of his infamous ball-tampering scandal in 2018.
It would be interesting to see whether Australia gives him another chance to lead the side. Many experts have raised their voices that the veteran batter has had enough of punishment. Cricket Australia would be aware of the fact that appointing him as ODI Skipper would send a bad message to the youth.
Virender Sehwag on David Warner
David Warner and Virender Sehwag were a part of the Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals) franchise. During that phase, Warner shared an interesting incident and was seen interacting with Fox Sports. “When I went to Delhi, Sehwag watched me a couple of times and said to me, ‘you’ll be a better Test cricketer than what you will be a T20 player.” Warner said
“I basically looked at him and said, ‘mate, I haven’t even played a first-class game yet’. But he said, ‘all the fielders are around the bat, if the ball is there in your zone you’re still going to hit it. You’re going to have ample opportunity to score runs. You’ve always got to respect the good ball, but you’ve always got to punish the ball you always punish.” he said.
David Warner a Fighter
David Warner was heavily criticized for his ball-tampering involvement. It looked as if the World Cricket saw the last of David Warner as he was shattered. Cricket Australia had banned him from playing NAtional Cricket for a year along with Steven Smith.
Against all odds, David Warner had a terrific ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 where he amassed 600 odd runs and was looking threatening and had a fire in his eyes. The Australians were unable to win Tournament but they got their star batter back in form.
