Heinrich Klaasen’s IPL auction price revealed, 2 teams immediately join the bid

The former Proteas international Heinrich Klaasen, who has been the highest run-getter for SRH over the last three seasons, might be released by the Sunrisers Hyderabad this time around, and if the wicket-keeper makes it to the auction, two teams have been revealed to go after him.
The IPL trade window and its proceedings are in full swing, with the final date of announcing the retentions nearing. Every team needs to conclude their possible bunch of players whom they intend to keep until the next season.
The retention list will be announced in November, and several teams will have to increase their purse as well, since the mini-auction awaits them in December. Cameron Green has been much hyped as the most lucrative player deal in the mini-auction.
Two teams are ready to bid if Heinrich Klaasen enters the IPL mini-auction
It has constantly been in the buzz that the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who could not qualify for the IPL knockouts last time, are looking to make some changes to their team. But shockingly, they might be looking to part ways with explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen.
Heinrich Klaasen, the Oroteas power-hitter, was retained for a massive INR 23 crore, even more than the skipper Pat Cummins' INR 18 crore. However, despite being their most consistent scorer over the past three seasons from 2023-25, the decision to release him seems controversial.
Even before Heinrich Klaasen's release is confirmed, teams like the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders have already shown interest in bidding for the Protea wicket-keeper, Heinrich Klaasen, as per a report by RevSportz journalist Rohit Juglan. A complete middle-order batter and a powerful striker of the white ball will be an asset for any team.
SRH is also in talks over the release of Ishan Kishan
The Sunrisers Hyderabad showed great interest in acquiring the service of Indian left-handed wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan, as they included him for a hefty price in the mega-auction. Ishan, who started the season with his maiden IPL hundred, could not continue his stellar run and lost form midway through the tournament, only to show some glimpses of revival during the second phase of the IPL 2025.
Kishan could manage 354 runs across 14 innings with an average of 29 and a strike rate of over 150, the highest till now in his career. Likely, his former franchise, the Mumbai Indians, has once again shown interest in having him back, as they too needed a good opening partner at the top for Rohit Sharma.
Under these conditions, if both these players, Ishan and Heinrich Klaasen, are released, the SRH would have to pick a new wicket-keeper in the upcoming mini-auction or in trades before the IPL.
SRH preparing the purse for a Cameron Green bid?
The Sunrisers Hyderabad were also speculated to release Indian veteran pacer Mohammed Shami after his unconvincing performance in the previous season. The Sunrisers are seemingly releasing many of their big-budget players, which has raised the question that this is to raise their purse amount.
Cameron Green, who re-enters the IPL race, will be in the mini-auction and is expected to draw a huge bid. The Sunrisers might be aiming to bring in the Australian all-rounder, especially after Australians have performed convincingly for them.
Green could be slotted in the middle order since Nitish Reddy has lacked batting prowess in the middle order, and it has fallen entirely on the shoulders of Heinrich Klassen.
