Hope The Focus Will Be Back On Work - Pragyan Ojha After Discord Between BCCI And Virat Kohli

Former Indian cricketer Pragyan Ojha expressed his opinion on the controversy surrounding Virat Kohli’s pre-series press conference that was held on Wednesday.
The team has departed for the South Africa tour preceding which, Kohli spoke in a conference. His statements were in complete contrast with Sourav Ganguly’s, which stirred up a controversy.
Kohli said that he was told only 90 minutes before the BCCI meeting that he would be dropped as the ODI captain. Kohli also said that his decision to step down as T20I captain was received as a progressive thought, in contrast to Ganguly’s claims that he personally requested Kohli to not step down.

Speaking on the matter, Ojha said: “Unnecessary! Hope the focus will be back on work. #IndianCricket. “The issue will continue to spiral until the matter is resolved between the two parties.
Ojha also took a sly dig at Kohli, saying: “A good chef knows what to show and what not to when he is trying to prepare a delicious dish! As the reputation of the kitchen and the restaurant is on him.”
The controversy might demoralise the Indian team ahead of a big tour, which is what Ojha is referring to indirectly. The Test squad has been announced for which, Kohli will continue acting in a captain’s capacity. Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the 3-match Test series due to an injury.
India’s Test squad for South Africa tour:
Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wk), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Jayant Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mohd. Shami, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Md. Siraj.
