Intruders on a cricket field used to be a common occurrence back in the day but with so much security around these days, it has become quite a rare sight. Well! ‘Jarvo 69’ clearly doesn’t think so!
The third day of the Lord’s Test saw England captain Joe Root grind the Indian bowlers into the dust courtesy his brilliant unbeaten 180.
And, so, perhaps an English fan sitting in the stands thought that India might do with an extra player on the field.
And, so the gentleman, who goes by the name of Jarvo, pulled on his Indian Test shirt with the number ’69’ inscribed on its back, breached the security, and entered the ground.

When the security guys did get a hold of him after he had reached the bowling mark, Jarvo nonchalantly showed them his India shirt with a BCCI logo and number ’69’ inscribed on it before raising his hands to soak in the appreciation from the crowd.
Jarvo was eventually cordoned off the ground but not before he had hogged the limelight and it was no surprise that the video went viral in no time across social media platforms.
Jarvo himself took to his Twitter account to apprise everyone that the man that thronged to the ground was indeed him and that he is proud to become the first white person to play for Team India.
“Yes, I am Jarvo that went on the pitch. I am proud to be the first white person to play for India!!!!!”
