N Jagadeesan, the dashing right-handed batter was in scintillating form. He smashed a record-breaking knock of 277 runs in 141 balls where he smashed 25 fours and 15 sixes against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The batter broke the record of Alistair Brown who had scored 268 runs way back in 2002.
The batter was well accompanied by Sai Sudharsan who scored 154 runs in 102 balls where he smashed 19 fours and 2 sixes as the duo was involved in a mammoth 416 runs partnership. The bowlers were taken to the cleaners by the duo as the team managed to score a mammoth 506-2 .
N Jagadeesan on Knock
N Jagadeesan was having an interaction with Sport-star and was asked about the record.
“I had no clue that I had broken the record. I came to know after I got out. But as I said, I was more focused on my process. Doesn’t matter if I get a hundred or a double hundred. I just kept following the process and the runs kept following the process,” said Jagadeesan.

“I have been focusing a lot on my personal process and on my daily routines. It just came down to how I wanted to go into each and every game. For me, it was important to step onto the field with the same kind of mindset in each and every game, no matter whether you score runs or not,” he added.
Great Knock by N Jagadeesan
The batter has struck 5 consecutive centuries which is a record in List A career. The Tamil Nadu team won the match by a huge margin of 435 runs which is also a record in a List A career. The 26-year-old batter would be over the moon as now he has made a strong case for himself in ODI Circuit.
The peculiarity of the right-handed batter was that he didn’t allow any bowler to settle. The batter scored 190 runs in boundaries out of 277 which says a lot about his striking ability. It would be interesting to see whether the batter gets a chance to represent India as already there is cut-throat competition.
