India’s limited-overs captain Rohit Sharma has said that he has played a lot of cricket under Virat Kohli and has enjoyed every moment of it.
Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the new white-ball captain of team India as the BCCI didn’t want to have two white-ball captains in the team and Virat Kohli has been removed from ODI captaincy but he will continue to lead the team in Test cricket.

Although, Indian team failed to win a World Cup under Kohli, but have won several historic bilateral series. He led India in 95 ODIs and won 65 games.
Speaking on BCCI Tv Rohit said that Kohli always led the team from the front and there was a clear grit and determination to earn the victories in the matches. He said:
“He’s put the team in the situation where there is no looking back. Those five years that he has led the team led from the front every time we stepped onto the park. There was a clear grit and determination to win every game that was the message to the entire squad.”
“We had a great time playing under him obviously we played I played a lot of cricket under him and enjoyed every moment and I will still continue to do that,” he added.
We Need To Keep Getting Better As A Team And Keep Getting Better As An Individual – Rohit Sharma
The 34-year-old said that the focus of the entire team will be to get better as an individual. He said:
“We need to keep getting better as a team and keep getting better as an individual that will be the focus of not just me but the entire squad moving forward. That is what we will be looking forward to doing is getting better and make sure how we can get better as a team.”
Rohit Sharma also spoke about India’s lack of success in the ICC events and said that there are a lot of World Cups approaching and India will be eyeing all of them. He added that India have done a good job in the ICC tournaments but they just need to go an extra inch to win the trophy. He stated:
“There are lots of World Cup coming, India will be eying for sure but there is a process to follow & then focus on the end goal. We need to do lots of right things & I don’t think we didn’t do much wrong from 2014, just need to go that extra inch.”
