Australian dynamic opening batsman David Warner has hailed the former Indian captain Rahul Dravid and the Director of the National Cricket Academy for grooming young talent tremendously. India is one of the best teams currently and it’s a testament to the young players rising to the occasion in pressure moments. David Warner heaped praises on India’s bench strength and backs them to be a formidable team in the future.

For some time now, the men in blue have produced an enormous amount of international level cricketers, who get match ready by playing in the Indian Premier League and the various domestic tournaments. Hence, it would be the first time that the Indian team sends two separate outfits at the same time to different continents. India, lead by Virat Kohli, will play the World Test Championship final in England a five-match Test series, while another bunch of players will tour Sri Lanka.

David Warner believes that the IPL has played a significant role and credited Rahul Dravid, who he feels is doing an outstanding job to get them ready for international cricket. The 34-year old said Australia realized it when India toured the nation and backed the men in blue to dominate cricket in the future.

“The IPL has been a great platform and you have to give credit to Rahul Dravid. It seems like he is doing a fantastic job through the pathway system to get these players ready for international cricket. It showed when they came to play us here. In future India is going to be a very formidable side in Test cricket as they are now,” Warner told India Today.

David Warner stated that aside from Virat Kohli, India has players who can perform fearlessly against any opposition and under any circumstance. Hence, the New South Wales cricketer backs them to rule the cricketing world for a long time.

“When you take the captain (Kohli) away, who is a world-class player and has a lot of runs on the board, and you’ve got this youth coming with energy and performing against us the way they did, I think they are going to be a force to be reckoned with,” he added.
