Replying, he said that they came close from 2015 to 2024 but failed, and he also mentioned the 2023 ODI World Cup final, as he wants to delete the date 19th November.

"From 2015 to 2024, we were running after that World Cup. We came close many times, but we couldn't win. We came very close in 2015. We came close in 2019. I don't even want to remember 2023. I want to forget 19th November."
Why does Rohit Sharma not want to remember the 2023 ODI World Cup?
Coming to the 2023 ODI World Cup part, under Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue performed brilliantly throughout the tournament, with the kind of atmosphere the whole team had during the tournament, as they looked unbeatable, as the whole unit was on song throughout the tournament.

Rohit Sharma stated that they were chasing the World Cup as they came close twice in 2015 and 2019, when they lost both in the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup against Australia and New Zealand, respectively. So, mentioning the 2024 T20 World Cup final, he revealed that it was going to be his last, along with Virat Kohli, as both agreed on the same.
Rohit Sharma said, "But after that, the six months we had, I knew that the T20 World Cup of 2024 would be my last. And Virat and I had agreed not to play T20 after that. That's why we were so emotional."
"Because we had run so much for that World Cup. And finally, when you got it, at that time, we didn't know what to do. Whatever was happening in front of us, we were just reacting to that."
