I Would Laugh Knowing The Modesty I Had Shown And What Followed - Ajinkya Rahane Takes A Dig Regarding India's BG-Trophy Win

Indian Test cricketer Ajinkya Rahane stated that he is not somebody who would take credit for what he does but the 34-year-old took a sly dig at the people who claimed that the decisions they took in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy resulted in India’s victory.
After losing the first Test and the then captain, Virat Kohli, Rahane stepped up to lead and was instrumental in turning the series around. India won the Tests in Melbourne and Gabba while drawing in the SCG Test. Speaking about the victory on the show ‘Backstage with Boria’, Rahane said:

“I know what I did there. I don’t need to say this to anybody. And that’s not my nature that I will go and take credit. Yes, there were a few things, for which I made the decisions on the field and dressing room but somebody else took the credit. What was important for me was that we won the series and that was a historical series. For me, that was really special.”
“It’s what they had to say but from my end, I knew what decisions I took” – Ajinkya Rahane
Missing one of their best batters and the leader, it was going to be tough for India to recover from the Adelaide debacle (36-all out). However, the spirited Indians fought through injuries and Rahane was at the forefront of it all.
India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a 2-1 series victory.
