In a huge development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has received support from the International Cricket Council (ICC) as well as all the cricket boards regarding their Champions Trophy 2025 stance.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: India receive support from all cricket boards
According to the latest report in RevSportz, every member of the cricket board is supporting India, and they are united for the tournament being held in a hybrid model.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been left alone and now they have got only a few choices. PCB can now either accept the hybrid model or withdraw from the competition and lose the hosting rights.
There is also another option in which the entire tournament will be moved out of Pakistan with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) retaining the hosting rights.
"All members are aware of India's stance and aligned with their decision of not travelling to Pakistan due to no clearance from the government," said an ICC official aware of developments, as quoted by TOI.
At this stage, don't be surprised if the tournament is played out of Pakistan - ICC official
On Friday, November 29, the International Cricket Council (ICC) had a virtual meeting, which was chaired by Imran Khwaja, with all the members regarding the Champions Trophy.
The meeting reportedly lasted just a little over 15 minutes, and all members showed support for India's decision not to travel to Pakistan. In the next few days, another meeting is scheduled where the final decision will be announced regarding the competition.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been quite strict in its stance of not accepting the hybrid model, and according to the ICC official, the competition could go ahead without the Men In Green.
"At this stage, don't be surprised if the tournament is played out of Pakistan, and even without Pakistan. If PCB doesn't accept the hybrid model, there is a bright possibility of that happening too," added the official.
There should be no politics in sports - Tejashwi Prasad Yadav
Recently, the Indian politician and former professional cricketer, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, said that the Indian cricket team should visit Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025 and that politics shouldn't be mixed with sports. He said:
"There should be no politics in sports. Pakistan should come to our country, and our players should also go there.
'What's the problem with sports? It's not like there's a war happening in sports. Why shouldn't India go to Pakistan? If PM Modi can go to Pakistan to eat biryani, that's considered a good thing, but if the Indian team goes to Pakistan to play, it's seen as wrong. This isn't the right way to think."
