ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Major event cancelled amid fight between India and Pakistan

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has found itself in the middle of a tussle between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). This is because of Team India's participation in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will take place in Pakistan.
The India National Cricket Team have decided against going to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This is because BCCI hasn't gotten clearance from the Indian government, and hence, they wrote to ICC that they won't be playing matches in Pakistan.

However, a fresh report in PTI has suggested something different. It is learned that the ICC hasn't decided anything and no such discussion happened on Tuesday. There is no clarity so far related to that and it remains to be seen what will be the future of the event.
The reports in PTI also claimed that the launch event of the Champions Trophy 2025, which was scheduled to take place on 11th November in Lahore, has been put on hold. The event has been pushed back as confirmed by the insider of the International Cricket Council.
The ICC also has received a letter from the PCB and has asked for written confirmation from the BCCI for India's inability to travel to Pakistan for the tournament. They also have assured that there is no security concern in their country, and they are ready to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The schedule for the tournament is also not confirmed, ICC is still in discussions and dialogue with the host and participating nations. Earlier, there were reports that claimed that the governing body would be revealing the schedule for the games only, and after conversations, the venues would be revealed later.
