Former Pakistan National Cricket Team player Mohammad Hafeez reacted to reports of the Indian team not traveling to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He took a jibe at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), mentioning that their nation is safe for all other teams but not India.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has become a hot topic in the Indian as well as the Pakistan Cricket. Even though the tournament is still far away, there are a lot of discussions going on around it, especially related to the venue for the event.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to take place in Pakistan during February and March next year

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to take place in Pakistan during February and March of next year. But the major question that has been keeping many engaged is will the India National Cricket Team will be traveling to Pakistan for the tournament or not.

There have been several strong reports that have suggested that the Board of Control for Cricket in India wrote to the Indian government, asking about the clearance to travel to Pakistan. But the government has denied giving the green signal to the Rohit Sharma-led side, and it has given a massive headache to concerned bodies.

The reports also claimed that after the denial from the Indian government, BCCI wrote to the International Cricket Council that they wouldn't be traveling to Pakistan. This, however, has given rise to many rumors that the tournament will now be taking place in the Hybrid model.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 likely to take place in the Hybrid model

As per the reports, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be taking place in Pakistan. But India games will be played in either Dubai or Sri Lanka. A similar kind of thing took place during the Asia Cup 2023, where India played games in the island nation, and half of the tournament took place in Pakistan.

While this is the India's stance related to their travel, Pakistan, on the other hand, hasn't accepted anything. Chairman of the cricket board Mohsin Naqvi mentioned that they hadn't heard anything about the same, and they are pretty confident that they will be hosting the entire tournament in their own country.

Mohsin Naqvi, who is also a federal interior minister in the current government, said that if India doesn't come to Pakistan, then he will have to consult his government for further directives. Howver, later reports claimed that the ICC had already informed PCB about India's decision.

Pakistan hosting all cricket nations at home but somehow not *secure* for India - Mohammad Hafeez

Amid all the fuss, former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez expressed his displeasure over India not traveling. He said that it was a dream that Men in Blue would play in Pakistan.

Hafeez mentioned that Pakistan is safe and ready to host the tournament. While taking a jibe at the Indian team, he also urged the Pakistan government and Cricket Board to take a strong stance. Taking to his Twitter account, he explained:

"It was a daydream that India will come to Pakistan to play in Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan is safe & ready to host the event. Pakistan hosting all cricket nations at home but somehow not *secure* for India 😇😇😇. Waiting for strong & surprised response from government & PCB."
