The International Cricket Council (ICC) has declared the names of men’s cricketers who have been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for the month of May. The players are Hasan Ali of Pakistan, Praveen Jayawickrama of Sri Lanka, and Mushfiqur Rahim in Bangladesh.
Cricket fans can give their votes for their favorite choice. ICC informed about the nominees for the ICC player of the month award for May on their website and social media accounts. ICC started presenting these awards in January 2021. The first three awards were bagged by Indian cricketers.

Rishabh Pant was the first player to win the award with his magnificent batting against Australia and England in Tests. Then in February, Ravichandran Ashwin was announced as the winner for his bowling and batting in the Test series against England at home. In March 2021, Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the ICC Men’s Player of the month award for his performances in the limited-overs series against England.
Hasan Ali, Praveen Jayawickrama, And Mushfiqur Rahim Nominated For ICC Player Of The Month For May

Hasan Ali of Pakistan returned to top form in the recent Test series against Zimbabwe, as he picked 14 wickets at a staggering average of only 8.92. He began the series with a bang, picking up 9 wickets in Pakistan’s victory in the opening Test match. He carried his form in the second Test match as well, picking 5/27, as Pakistan completed a 2-0 whitewash.

Probably one of Bangladesh’s best batsmen of all time, Mushfiqur Rahim had an amazing month of May. In the ODI series against Sri Lanka, he helped Bangladesh beat the hosts for the first time in an ODI series. In three matches, Mushfiqur scored 237 runs at an average of 79 and a strike rate of 88.43. His knock of 125 in the second match proved to be his best in the series.
He was also adjudged the Player of the Series.
