ICC Rankings: Ravi Bishnoi Becomes No.1 T20I Bowler In The World

India’s young spin sensation Ravi Bishnoi has moved to the top of the latest ICC Rankings for T20I bowlers after his scintillating display in the recently concluded five-match series against Australia. He has replaced Afghanistan superstar Rashid Khan to claim the top spot in the ICC Rankings.
The young leg-spinner played a key role in India’s dominating 4-1 series win over the team from Down Under. Ravi Bishnoi finished the series as the highest wicket-taker. In 5 games, he picked up 9 wickets at a stunning average of 18.22. Before the latest update, he was at the fifth spot in the ICC Rankings with 665 rating points.
As per the latest update on ICC’s website, he has moved to the top with 699 rating points and is followed by Rashid who has 692 rating points. At number three in the ICC Rankings for T20Is bowlers is Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga followed by England’s Adil Rashid and Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana. No other Indian bowler features in the top ten.
Ruturaj Gaikwad in top 10 of ICC Rankings:
Among batsmen, Ruturaj Gaikwad has managed to maintain his place in the top 10 of the ICC Rankings. The right-handed batsman, who scored his maiden T20I century during the series, is currently the No.7 ranked T20I batter in the world. With 223 runs from 5 games, Gaikwad finished the series as the highest run-scorer. He was the only player who scored more than 150 runs in the series.
Suryakumar Yadav, who led the team in the series, is at the top of the ICC Rankings for T20I batsmen with 855 rating points and is followed by Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan, who has 787 ratings. Aiden Markram, Babar Azam, and Rilee Rossouw complete the top. Yashasvi Jaiswal has also made significant gains as he has moved up 16 places to 19th.
Among allrounders, Axar Patel has entered the top 20 and is currently at the 14th spot. The list is led by Bangladesh ace Shakib Al Hasan who is followed by Mohammad Nabi, Hardik Pandya, Aiden Markram, and Marcus Stoinis.
