Shikhar Dhawan was part of the India vs England T20I series. Dhawan was part of the playing 11 in India vs England 1st T20I. However, he failed with the bat getting out for 4 runs off 12 balls. He was replaced by Ishan Kishan in the second T20I match. Kishan smashed a half-century in his debut match. Later, Suryakumar Yadav became another player to smash a half-century in his international debut in the 4th T20I. In spite of being fit and available, Dhawan was overlooked in 4 matches of the series. Hence, he might not get the chance to be part of the team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
