Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan was part of the India vs England T20I series. Dhawan was part of the playing 11 in India vs England 1st T20I. However, he failed with the bat getting out for 4 runs off 12 balls. He was replaced by Ishan Kishan in the second T20I match. Kishan smashed a half-century in his debut match. Later, Suryakumar Yadav became another player to smash a half-century in his international debut in the 4th T20I. In spite of being fit and available, Dhawan was overlooked in 4 matches of the series. Hence, he might not get the chance to be part of the team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Axar Patel

Axar Patel was phenomenal with his international Test debut against England. He was given a chance in the T20I series as well. Axar Patel played in the 1st T20I. However, he could not take any wickets and conceded 24 runs off 3 overs. Later, he was dropped for the rest of the matches. Axar Patel might be a crucial spin bowler in Tests but it looks like he will fail to qualify for ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Rahul Tewatia

Rahul Tewatia rocked with his performance in IPL 2020 with his batting. He became a sensation after he hit 5 sixes in one over in IPL 2020 and helped Rajasthan Royals to achieve the highest ever successful chase in IPL in the match against Punjab Kings. Rahul Tewatia was part of the T20I squad in the series against England. However, Tewatia did not find a place in playing 11. Since there is tough competition in the team, Tewatia might find it difficult to get selected in ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar was also part of the England vs India T20I series but unfortunately, he could not play any match. Indian pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur showed great performance in the series due to which Deepak Chahar could not get an opportunity. Indian team opted to play with 2 pacers and 2 spinners in few games which was also a reason for Deepak Chahar not getting a place in the playing 11.

Navdeep Saini

Navdeep Saini was another pacer who did not find a place in the playing 11 in any of the 5 T20Is against England. Navdeep Saini is a top pacer who has the ability to bowl at 150+ km/hr speed. Since Shardul Thakur was bowling brilliantly, the team management did not take a risk of replacing him. The same went for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Both pacers Shadul Thakur and Bhuvneshwar Kumar did a great job in the bowling department, due to which Navdeep Saini did not get a chance. He might be overlooked for the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
