Indian captain Virat Kohli has remained at the 5th spot in the latest ICC T20I rankings for batsmen while his Pakistani counterpart, Babar Azam, has moved one place to claim the 2nd spot in the table.
Babar Azam, who had recently surged past Virat Kohli to become the No.1 ranked ODI batsman, has made a 47-point surge to leapfrog Australia’s Aaron Finch in the T20I rankings.
The surge comes after Babar smashed a whirlwind 122- his first T20I hundred- in the third T20I against South Africa.

Though Babar is still 48 points adrift of the World’s No.1 T20I batsman Dawid Malan, the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe provides the Pakistani captain to reclaim the numero-uno spot.
Meanwhile, Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman has gained 17 spots to claim the 33rd spot after his scores of 8* and 60 in the last two matches.
Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, who smashed a match-winning 73 in the third T20I, has advanced eight places to reach a career-best 15th spot.

As far as the bowling department is concerned, Shaheen Shah Afridi has claimed the 11th spot after he claimed a wicket each in the last two T20Is while Mohammad Nawaz (up four places to 24th), Haris Rauf (up 43 places to 38th), Faheem Ashraf (up 12 places to 16th) have also gained places.
In the case of the Proteas, Rassie van der Dussen has gained three slots to move to the 6th spot after he registered scores of 34* and 52.
Aiden Markam (up 31 places to 34th), Janneman Malan (up 52 places to 73rd) are the other batsmen to move up while spinner George Linde (up 29 places to 107th) has also made significant progress.
