The BCCI is reportedly not happy with the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) for announcing the ticket prices for the ODI World Cup games at Eden Gardens. The CAB reportedly made the official announcement without consulting the BCCI.
Eden Gardens is scheduled to host five matches in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. The first game at the venue will be played between Netherlands and Bangladesh on October 28 before the clash between Pakistan and Bangladesh take place.

In the third game of the World Cup at the iconic venue, India will lock horns against South Africa. The fourth game will see reigning world champions England taking on Pakistan. The fifth and final World Cup match at Eden Gardens will be the semifinal.
BCCI not happy with the CAB:
Earlier this month, the CAB announced the ticket price for the World Cup clashes. The CAB stated that the maximum ticket price would be Rs 3000 for India’s match and the semifinal. On the other hand, the minimum would be Rs 650 for the first clash at the venue.

In its official announcement, the CAB announced the price of the tickets for every match. Their announcement, however, has not gone down well with the BCCI, according to The Telegraph. Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly whose elder brother Snehasish Ganguly is the CAB president, visited Eden on Monday but declined to speak on the matter.
“This is totally the CAB’s jurisdiction. They’ll deal with it,” said Ganguly.
The report further quoted a senior CAB official as saying: “Sourav was here mainly to know how Eden Gardens’ renovation was going, while we also discussed about stadium upgradation.”
CAB would be looking to sort out the issue with the BCCI at the earliest as they gear up for hosting the World Cup games. Meanwhile, the much-awaited World Cup is scheduled to be played from October 5 to November 19.
